22 tarot cards

Van Gogh Tarot  fuses the artistic brilliance of Vincent van Gogh with the timeless archetypes of the 22 Major Arcana cards that cover the full spectrum of human experience, from the everyday to the metaphysical.

Roman numerals identify all 22 Major Arcana, setting them apart from the Creative Support Cards. Each card's name is rooted in the creative process, inspired directly by Vincent's paintings. While some traditional names remain, others have been thoughtfully reimagined to reflect a more creative focus—such as The Hierophant, now called The Mentor. This deck is designed as a tool for anyone pursuing a creative life, offering clear, intuitive names that speak directly to the creative journey. The interpretation here is fresh and unconventional, while honoring the 22 Major Arcana’s traditional framework.

50 support cards

Your deck includes 50 Support cards, each focused entirely on the creative process and the challenges we face when creating things that matter to us. The Support cards center on the emotions and situations that arise as we bring something new into the world—whether it’s rebuilding parts of our lives, deepening friendships, creating a new body of work, or starting a new business.

These cards are grounded in real-world experience, offering guidance for taking action or pausing to shift your perspective. The Support Cards are drawn from decades of creating art, reflecting the emotions, challenges, and breakthroughs that come with making something meaningful. In the audio guides for each card, I share personal insights about the creative process, making the experience feel intimate and relatable. The creative journey is ever-evolving, connecting us through our shared desire to express ourselves.

Van Gogh Tarot was created by Veronica Gutman. Veronica's experience combines a decade of Tarot study and intensive psychic training with incredible teachers, along with a designer’s eye. Inspired by Stefan Sagmeister's "Things I Have Learned in My Life So Far," this deck is where art, spirit, and design meet. It's down to earth and real. As a graphic designer, writer, and visual artist, Veronica has been running her independent design studio for over 11 years, serving hundreds of amazing clients with her print and web design expertise. Her work has been featured in several group exhibitions in San Francisco and Oakland. She is a creator at heart, both in the digital realm and the physical world. Her materials and tools range from pixels and paper to art magnets and art postcards + stickers. She works with living plants, felt, glue, paint, colored pencils, photos, found objects and language. She has done numerous public art projects and loves to do random acts of kindness. She did a series of gift boxes filled with curios, poetry and messages which were left for people to find at installations in the Mojave desert at Desert X. Deciding to live creatively is a sacred act. It requires a lot of us, so it's important that we have solid support tools that work for us. Veronica's desire is that this deck can become a potent addition to your toolkit.
